Equate Original Blemish Patches
The maintained ClinicalTrials.gov and PubMed searches returned no record naming this patch or an Equate blemish patch. Product-type evidence includes a 20-person randomized double-blind pilot against plain tape and a 41-person randomized Johnson & Johnson prototype study whose in-house study report claimed 75% versus 40% healed professionally opened lesions at day 4. The maintained sources do not identify Equate as an intervention in either study.
Salvedad: The small first study compared the patch against plain tape, and the larger result comes from a different company's prototype, written up in that company's own study report rather than posted to the public registry. Neither tells you what this exact patch does, or how much of the result could be chance.

The maintained ClinicalTrials.gov and PubMed searches returned no record naming Mighty Patch or Hero Cosmetics. Studies of other patches include the 41-person prototype result reported in a the sponsor's own study report, a 37-person Good Molecules hydrogel-patch study in which everyone knew which patch they had, and a 49-person split-face study in which an unnamed hydrocolloid patch cleared spots in 6 days for the middle person, against 4 days with a water-soluble herbal patch. The maintained sources do not identify Hero as an intervention in those studies.
Salvedad: The products, patch materials, spot preparation, what each was compared against, and what was measured all differ. Together they give only general background about patches as a category, and cannot tell you what Mighty Patch does.

✓A 20-person survey run by the maker
ZitSticka KILLA Kit
ZitSticka's current product page reports a study of 20 people who wore KILLA for six hours and overnight, and were then asked what they thought. It says 85% agreed spot colour and size looked reduced and 70% agreed spots looked flatter and calmer. But there was no comparison group, and the page gives no method, no raw results, no analysis, and no list of side effects. Our search found no independent publication of it.
Salvedad: This establishes only that the maker reports a small exact-product consumer panel. A separate uncontrolled 21-person report used a different microneedle formula and was corrected from "clinical trial" to "clinical study." Neither shows that KILLA speeds resolution, beats an untreated spot or plain hydrocolloid, or justifies the price difference.

- Hero's 36-count box is a US product; Canadian retail sells 24 and 60 counts. The 60-count is Hero's best per-patch price ($26.48 → 44¢). The $12.67 checked price was a rollback from $14.97.
- ZitSticka's page shows an $11.20 "sale" price that is actually its subscription price; one-time purchase is $14.00. No Canadian licence record was found for it (database search Aug 20, 2026) — that's about paperwork, not safety.
