Skinlogie is designed to deliver useful education before asking for personal information. The current version has no account, checkout, advertising tracker, or health-data upload. The only personal information the site asks for is an email address, and only if you choose to use the optional newsletter signup described below.

What the site processes

The interactive routine checklist works only in the open page. Your selections are not transmitted to Skinlogie and disappear when the page is reloaded.

A guide’s optional action-plan tool also works in your browser. Unless you choose “Save on this device,” its checkboxes and review date disappear when the page is reloaded. If you do choose to save, the guide identifier, two checklist choices, and optional review date are stored in that browser’s local storage so the plan can be restored on a return visit. The page does not transmit that saved plan to Skinlogie. You can remove it with the tool’s Reset button or by clearing browser site data.

The guide finder filters the library in your browser. Search words entered into that control are not submitted to Skinlogie or saved as a reader profile.

The site is delivered through Cloudflare infrastructure. Standard request information—such as IP address, browser details, timestamps, requested pages, and error information—may be processed to deliver, secure, and diagnose the service.

Cloudflare may retain a small sample—about one in ten—of the site’s technical delivery records so problems can be diagnosed. These records do not include information you type into forms, photos, symptom histories, or payment details.

A separate review preview may require sign-in through its hosting provider. If you use that preview, the provider processes the sign-in under its own privacy terms; Skinlogie does not receive or store the password. The public Skinlogie site does not require an account.

Newsletter signup

The site offers an optional email signup for update notices. If you submit it, Skinlogie stores the email address, site language, signup page and form type, the update topic you chose, the consent-text version, status dates, and separate random confirmation and unsubscribe codes in a database hosted by Cloudflare. It stores no name or IP address and does not attach your browsing history or tool entries to the record.

Signups are confirmed by email, and no update email is sent until the link is clicked. Confirmation links expire after 24 hours; repeated requests are limited, and there is a short wait before another email can be sent. To slow automated abuse, the network address supplied by Cloudflare is briefly converted into a scrambled value that changes every ten minutes. The original address is never stored, and expired values are deleted. An email-delivery provider handles the address only to send the message. Delivery status is kept for each issue so the same issue is not intentionally sent twice. This information is not sold, shared for advertising, or combined into a reader profile. Entries in the hidden spam field are discarded without storage.

You can leave the list at any time: every mailing includes an unsubscribe link, and you can write to hello@skinlogie.com to request deletion. Unsubscribing immediately suppresses every topic. A minimal suppression record is retained until deletion is requested so a previously unsubscribed address is not mailed accidentally.

Analytics

The site uses Plausible Analytics through Skinlogie’s own domain, so visiting a page does not contact a separate analytics site. Plausible sets no cookies, stores no cross-site identifier, and produces aggregate counts only—there is no way to single out a reader from them.

What is recorded:

• Page views, with a controlled first-touch channel and source such as ChatGPT, Google, referral, or direct. Only that pair persists for the browser tab; the referring URL and query are not stored.
• Views of retailer-link sections and retailer clicks, noting which product link was shown, the market, retailer, position, language, and whether the link can earn a commission. Destination URLs are not sent.
• Tool use, counting which tool was opened, when a result changed, and which button was used. Ingredient lists, selections, conditions, countries, quantities, and results are not sent.
• Guide starts and completions, comparison visits, and newsletter requests and confirmations, identified only by the relevant page or signup topic—never an email address or confirmation code—plus missing-page visits with the missing page address.

Every one of those values is either site content or a destination hostname. None of them is text you typed, and none identifies you.

What is deliberately not recorded: the words you type into the guide finder or any tool, the contents of a saved action plan, and anything you enter into a form other than the newsletter address you submit on purpose.

What the site does not do

• It does not create a user profile.
• It does not accept photos or symptom histories.
• It does not sell personal information.
• It does not run behavioural advertising or retargeting.
• It does not collect payment information.

Future data collection

If further data collection — such as additional analytics, forms, or payments — is added, this policy must be updated before collection begins. The relevant page must explain what is collected, why, who processes it, how long it is retained, and what choices the reader has.

External links

Guide references, official product details, and retailer links lead to other organizations. Their privacy practices apply when you visit them. Amazon retailer links may use Skinlogie’s Associates tag for Canada or the United States, visible in the destination URL. The site does not embed Amazon advertising or behavioural tracking code, and a retailer receives information only when you choose to follow its external link.
